Boost Your Blabber

Looking for a way to “boost” your child’s literacy skills before school starts in Septemeber?

Boost Your Blabber is a one-week day camp that builds children’s literacy skills through fun and interactive activities. Each year we choose an author and book theme. This year we have chosen Julia Donaldson who is best known for her imaginative book called  The Gruffalo.

Boost Your Blabber is designed for children ages 5 to 10 years and runs from August 16th to August 20th 2010, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

If you are interested in registering your child please contact the Hanover Parks and Recreation Services at 519-364-2310  or go the website at:

Story Time

May Month

May is known across Canada as the nationally recognized Speech and Hearing Awareness Month.

May is known to speech, language and hearing professionals, otherwise known as Speech-Language Pathologists, Audiologists and Communication Disorders Assistants, as the month to bring awareness to communication disorders. The goal is to promote early detection, prevention and treatment of communication disorders as well as increase public sensitivity and appreciation for those living and working with communication disorders.

Every year the Office of Cheryl D. Lindsay, M.S., S-LP teams up with Mandy Rhody, Audiologist, and the Hanover Early Years Centre to offer a free Speech and Hearing Screening. A very special thanks goes out to all who participated in the screenings this year, as they were both a huge success!
